Delicious Ambiguity

“I wanted a perfect ending.

Now I’ve learned, the hard way,

that some poems don’t rhyme,

and some stories don’t have a clear

beginning, middle, and end.

Life is about not knowing  having to change,

taking the moment and making the best of it,

without knowing what’s going to happen next”

Holding on to Hope

…even darkness must pass.

A new day will come, and when the sun shines it’ll shine out the clearer.

Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something even if you were too small to understand why.

But I think Mr.Frodo, I do undersand,

I know now folk in those stories

had lots of chances to turning back,

only they didn’t.

They kept going because they were holding on to something

Overcoming obstacles

“I have learned that success is to be measured

not so much by the position that one has reached in life

as by the obstacles which he has has to overcome

while trying to succeed”

“Leaders aren’t born, they are made.

They are made by hard effort,

which is the price which all of us must pay

to achieve any goal which is worthwhile”
